What goes on each layer of the dressing
- In contact with the wound: sterile gauze or nonwoven swabs, including large 40 × 60 and 60 × 80 cm PPSB swabs, swabs impregnated with 10% povidone-iodine and sterile adhesive silver dressings of 10 × 10 and 10 × 20 cm.
- For absorption: non-sterile swabs in packs of 100 and 25 × 25 cm cotton surgical sponges, also 100 per pack.
- For holding in place: gauze rolls, ALINTA elastic bandages with clips, an elastic dressing bandage or tubular net bandage.
- On the outside: the cohesive bandage, which sticks only to itself and not to the coat, so it closes without clips.
The choice of dressing for a specific wound remains the veterinarian's decision.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between elastic and cohesive bandages?
The ALINTA elastic bandage stretches over the area and is fastened with clips. The cohesive bandage sticks only to itself, not to the coat, so it closes without clips or tape.
Which large swabs do you have for extensive wounds?
Sterile PPSB swabs of 40 × 60 cm and 60 × 80 cm, non-sterile 25 × 25 cm cotton surgical sponges, 100 per pack, and non-sterile 45 × 45 cm X-ray detectable swabs, 10 per pack.
Are the sterile swabs individually packed?
It depends on the product: the 12-ply 10 × 10 cm gauze swab is in a single sachet, PPSB swabs folded in 8 come 2 per sachet, and others come in packs of 4 up to 100. The packaging is stated in each product name.
How long is a roll of cohesive bandage?
Rolls are 4.5 m long, except the 5 cm wide yellow paw print bandage, which is 5 m.
