Klintensiv ultrasound gel is a Class I medical device, colorless and slightly opalescent, designed for ultrasound diagnostics, ultrasound therapy and as a contact medium for electrocardiography. With high viscosity and high skin tolerance, it is applied directly to intact skin and is easily removed without leaving marks or residue.

Directions for Use

• Ultrasound (diagnostics): Apply undiluted to intact, clean and dry skin in a thin layer, sufficient for the area being examined. Spread the gel with the ultrasound probe.
• Ultrasound therapy: Apply undiluted to intact, clean and dry skin. Place a small amount on the treated area and spread it with small circular movements of the probe.
• ECG: Clean the skin (free of cream, oil or sweat). Apply a thin film to the electrode placement areas and spread evenly. Attach the electrodes and check signal stability.
• After the procedure: Remove the gel from the skin with disposable wipes. Clean the probes/electrodes according to the manufacturer's instructions. Keep the container tightly closed after each use.

Storage and Shelf Life

• Shelf life: 3 years from the date of manufacture
• Storage: in the original container, at 5–30°C
• When empty: rinse with water and recycle with plastics

Warnings

• For external use only; apply only to intact skin.
• Not sterile.
• Do not use for defibrillation pads.
• Do not insert objects or substances into the container.
• Do not use if the product has expired or under conditions other than those recommended.
• In ultrasound therapy, do not use: on open wounds, acute infections or fractured bones; during pregnancy; near or over a pacemaker or electrical stimulation devices; on metastatic lesions, areas with reduced sensation or metal implants; around the eyes, breasts or genitals; on active epiphyses in children.
