PRIMA scalpel blades are sterile, single-use blades made of high-carbon steel alloy. Each blade is individually packed in aluminum foil and gamma-sterilized. They are intended for use in general surgery, plastic surgery, orthopedics, dentistry, anatomical dissection and other medical procedures.

Available sizes and compatibility

  • Blade sizes 10, 11, 12, 15: compatible with scalpel handle no. 3
  • Blade sizes 20-24: compatible with scalpel handle no. 4

Blade types and applications

  • Blade #10: large incisions through skin and subcutaneous tissue in surgery
  • Blade #11: triangular shape with a sharp point, for precise incisions in cardiology, orthopedics, plastic surgery, dentistry and vascular procedures
  • Blade #12: curved, for suture removal and in dental, orthopedic and plastic surgery
  • Blade #15: the smallest curved blade, for fine incisions, small animal surgery, biopsies and neurological procedures
  • Blades #20-#24: for large incisions in thicker tissue or soft tissue dissection in large animals
