Grit, from Cleaning to Shine
For heavy deposits and stains there are the blue (RDA 250) and green (RDA 170) tubes of Directa Prophy Paste CCS, red coarse VOCO Cleanjoy (RDA 195) and Kerr CleanPolish. Medium grit options are yellow VOCO Cleanjoy (RDA 127), pink Directa (RDA 120), the 250 g AHL paste and i-Faste in 2 g single-use portions. For the final shine there are yellow Directa (RDA 40), Kerr SuperPolish, used after CleanPolish, and Septodont Detartrine, which the manufacturer indicates for polishing after scaling. Kerr Cleanic (RDA 27) cleans and polishes with the same paste, as its perlite particles break down during brushing.
With or Without Fluoride
Kerr Cleanic and Directa CCS (0.1% sodium fluoride) and VOCO Cleanjoy (700 ppm) contain fluoride. Cleanic Mint, CleanPolish and SuperPolish by Kerr, Depural Neo by Pentron, AHL paste and i-Faste are fluoride-free.
