The dressing is sterile and adhesive, made of elastic nonwoven material. It has a central absorbent pad with a silver coating. Silver has antibacterial properties and is effective against a broad spectrum of bacteria. It combines the advantages of an absorbent dressing with those of a bactericidal dressing. The active layer regulates moisture levels and prevents the dressing from sticking to the wound, so dressing changes can be painless.

The dressing should be changed as often as needed; generally at least 1-2 times a week (for wounds with normal exudate levels) or daily (for heavily exuding wounds).

It is used in the treatment of wounds with dry and soft (wet) necrosis, such as: - pressure ulcers; - leg ulcers; - first- and second-degree burns.

The dressings are recommended for the local treatment of acute and hard-to-heal wounds, including infected ones, as well as for preventing infection of clean wounds and grafts. They are not recommended for patients with sensitivity/allergy to silver. Remove the dressing before Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures!
