Gold-plated endodontic posts are retention devices for coronal structures placed on endodontically treated teeth. Made of stainless steel electroplated with 24K gold, they provide secure and durable retention, with a tapered shape that prevents the wedge effect.

Technical specifications

Available sizes and variants

  • Short (S): 8.0 mm — sizes 1–6
  • Medium (M): 9.5 mm — sizes 1–6
  • Long (L): 12.0 mm — sizes 1–6

Applications

  • Retention of coronal restorations on endodontically treated teeth
  • Adaptation to various root canal anatomies thanks to availability in three lengths and six diameter sizes

Directions for use

  1. Select a bur matching the post diameter
  2. Widen the root canal with the reamer bur and deepen it to the required size, avoiding eccentric movements of the bur
  3. Insert the post using the post key to check the canal length
  4. Remove the post, then clean and dry the root canal and the post
  5. Coat the post with cement and screw it into the canal for permanent fixation
  6. For optimal anchorage, use two posts in the mesial and distal canals
