LUBRAGEL is a sterile, water-soluble gel used to lubricate urethral catheters and other medical devices during urethral procedures such as catheterization, endoscopy and cystoscopy.

It can also be used as a lubricating gel for rectal and colonic applications. The lubricating effect of the Lidocaine Lubricating Gel helps prevent trauma between the urethral mucosa and the catheter or medical devices. The patient is relaxed, and iatrogenic injuries caused by spasticity or restlessness are minimized. Lubragel provides optimal lubrication, while the local anesthetic minimizes pain and the antiseptic properties reduce the risk of infection.

100 grams of gel contain:

• Purified water;

• Propylene glycol, hydroxyethylcellulose;

• 2g lidocaine hydrochloride;

• 0.250g chlorhexidine gluconate - 20% concentrate;

• 0.060 g methyl hydroxybenzoate;

• 0.025 g propyl hydroxybenzoate.
