Iodine alcohol solution (200 ml.)​

- disinfectant solution for external use;

- bactericidal and fungicidal, recommended for hygienic hand disinfection and local skin disinfection, to reduce the risk of infection.

Composition:

- povidone-iodine 10% (equivalent to 1% iodine, alcohols, pH regulators, glycerin, purified water, emulsifier.

Pharmacological action:

- 1% iodine alcohol acts as a disinfectant and antiseptic for external use.

Indications:

- skin disinfectant and antiseptic, for disinfection of the surgical field, for asepsis of superficial wounds and of injection sites for other medications;

- as an irritant (derivative), it is recommended in the form of rubs.

Administration:

- apply by dabbing, swabbing, brushing or spraying the surgical field;

- it is preferred over iodine tincture in surgical field preparation, as it has a lower congestive effect.

Caution:

- the 1% iodine alcohol solution is not applied directly to the wound but around it.

- the bottle contains 200 ml.

- keep the bottle tightly closed;

- shelf life is 3 years;

- approved by the Ministry of Health;
