Product details

Self-sealing sterilization pouches 190x330mm, autoclave / EO indicator (100 pcs)
The self-sealing pouches are made of a medical-grade plastic called transparent laminated film, derived from a special polyester or polypropylene film, and medical-grade paper.
The paper used is smooth on both sides, white, and provides a high level of antibacterial protection.
They are used for autoclave and ethylene oxide sterilization.
To verify sterilization effectiveness, they have two indicators printed on the paper, one for steam and one for ethylene oxide.
Correct sterilization is confirmed by the indicator changing color.
For steam sterilization at 121-134 º C, the color changes from pink to brown.
For ethylene oxide sterilization at 30-54 º C, the color changes from blue to orange.
Sterility is maintained for 2 months after sterilization, provided the packaging remains intact.
Once used, the pouches must be discarded, as they cannot be sterilized a second time.
A distinctive feature of self-adhesive pouches is that each is used for a single item.
No sealing machine is required, as they have a special adhesive strip that hermetically closes the open end of the pouch. When using these pouches, instruments must be opened or disassembled, and sharp tips protected. This type of packaging provides protection against chemical and biological contamination from the moment of sterilization until the package is opened.
1. Place the instruments in the pouch and press until all air is removed from the pouch;
2. Seal the pouch;
3. Place each package in the sterilizer. Avoid any contact with the metal tray of the sterilization oven (or with another pouch in the case of steam sterilization);
4. This product is approved / designed for use in steam sterilization (autoclave sterilization) at 121-134 º C for a maximum of 30 minutes.
5. Allow the pouches / packages to cool in the sterilizer for 5-10 minutes after the entire process. To speed up cooling, leave the sterilizer door wide open;
Order no. 261 of February 6, 2007 approving the Technical Norms on cleaning, disinfection and sterilization in healthcare facilities
All medical devices and materials to be sterilized must be cleaned and disinfected before undergoing the standard sterilization process. Sterility of materials packed in sealed plastic pouches is maintained for 2 (two) months after sterilization, provided the packaging (pouches) remains intact.
