for veterinary use.
The set contains 12 pieces.
The sutures are absorbable, sterile, made of synthetic threads manufactured from polyglycolic acid.
The braided threads are coated with a layer of polycaprolactone and calcium stearate and are violet in color so that the suture is visible.
The progressive loss of tensile strength and mass, and eventual absorption of the suture, occur through hydrolysis. An effective 50% loss of strength occurs 15-18 days after implantation; absorption is complete after a period of 50 to 90 days.
