The PRIMA portable first aid kit for wood shapers is a compact medical kit intended for use in shaping work and in other settings where first aid supplies need to be on hand. The set is organized in a waterproof zippered pouch and includes adhesive bandages, sterile gauze swabs, adhesive tape, disinfectant solutions and other consumables for dressing and disinfection.

Directions for Use

  • Disinfect hands by washing with soap and water, then wiping with disinfectant wipes
  • Dry hands by shaking them; wearing gloves during local treatment is recommended
  • Stop bleeding using the sterile gauze swabs and dressings available in the kit
  • Inspect the wound by removing or cutting the clothing in the affected area, using blunt-tip scissors when necessary
  • Clean by washing the skin around the wound with disinfectant wipes
  • For small wounds, strips of adhesive tape can be applied over the dressing
  • For large wounds, the injured person must be immobilized and transported for specialized medical treatment
