Paraffin oil for internal use, available in a 1000 ml container, is a colorless product formulated from a single component: paraffin oil for internal use. The product is recommended for use as a laxative, according to the administration instructions. Paraffin oil is known as one of the methods used to relieve symptoms associated with constipation, having a specific mechanism of action.
It passes through the gastrointestinal tract without being absorbed by the body, maintaining its structure throughout transit. Its effect usually occurs approximately 6 to 8 hours after administration. The colorless formula and single-component composition make it easy to use in regimens that require a mineral oil-based laxative.
