Ultrapack cords are made of 100% cotton and are knitted from thousands of fine interlocking loops, like a chain. The unique cord design offers considerable advantages: the cord ends do not fray; they are easy to insert and stay in place once inserted; the knitted structure increases their absorption capacity; the special fibers exert elastic pressure on the gingival margin, thus optimizing subgingival access. Because Ultrapack cords compress after insertion, we recommend using a size that seems larger at first glance. Ultrapack cords are not impregnated. They can be soaked in your preferred hemostatic solution. We recommend ViscoStat or Astringedent.
