• Like stainless steel files, HyFlex files can be pre-bent. This is a crucial advantage in extremely curved root canals to avoid creating ledges.
• They have a built-in shape memory. They prevent stress during preparation by changing the shape of their spirals. They regain their shape after heat treatment. A normal autoclave cycle is sufficient to return the files to their original shape and regenerate the crystal structures and fatigue resistance. If a file fails to regain its shape after heat treatment, it is plastically deformed and the risk of fracture therefore increases. After visual inspection, such files are not used. The number of reuses, which the user can determine by visual inspection, is higher than that of conventional NiTi files.
• Single-length technique - the single-length technique, in which all files are used to the full working length except the short orifice opener, allows precise and at the same time anatomically accurate preparation using HyFlex CM files
