Alcohol-based cytology fixative spray, designed for the effective preservation of cell smears on glass slides. The product is recommended for Pap tests and other cytological procedures in which preserving cell morphology is essential for staining and microscopic analysis.

Technical specifications

  • Volume: 250 ml
  • Composition: isopropanol and polyethylene glycol
  • Appearance: colorless liquid, leaves no visible residue on the slide
  • Shelf life: 3 years
  • Flammable – store at temperatures between 10–30°C, away from heat and sunlight
  • No ozone-depleting propellants

Applications

  • Fixation of Pap smears and other cytological samples
  • Compatible with staining methods: Papanicolaou, cytochemistry, in situ molecular detection
  • Gynecology practices, pathology laboratories, cancer screening centers

Directions for use

  1. Label the sample on the microscope slide.
  2. If applying two samples, cover half of the slide with a piece of paper.
  3. Spray evenly from a distance of 15–20 cm, pressing 2–3 times.
  4. Allow the smear to dry completely before staining or transport.
