Frequently asked questions
Why use an enzymatic detergent before disinfection?
Enzymes loosen organic residue on instruments: Klinozyme, for example, contains protease, amylase and lipase, which break down proteins, starch and fats. According to the Enzioclean sheet, removing this residue improves the result of the final disinfection.
Which disinfectant should I use for dental impressions?
Aseptoprint Spray, ready to use, or Aseptoprint Liquid, a concentrate (OCC Switzerland), for alginate, silicone, polyether and polysulfide impressions, or Zeta 7 Solution (Zhermack). The Aseptoprint sheets state that the product does not affect the shape and dimensional stability of impressions and plaster models.
What product goes in an ultrasonic bath?
A detergent made for ultrasonic cleaning, such as Ultraclean-3 (OCC Switzerland), an alkaline concentrate. The dilution and working time are in the product sheet.
