MicroSnap E.coli is a rapid test for the detection and enumeration of Escherichia coli, based on a bioluminogenic reaction.

It is used with the EnSure Touch luminometer and provides quantitative and qualitative results within a maximum of 8 hours, making it suitable for field testing and for clinical, veterinary and food laboratories.

Technical specifications

  • Method: Bioluminogenic reaction between enzymes produced by E. coli and specific substrates
  • Analysis time: Less than 8 hours
  • Quantitative results: 6 hours
  • Qualitative results (presence/absence): 8 hours
  • Measuring range: 10 - 5,000 CFU
  • Sensitivity: Detects microorganisms below 10 CFU in 8 hours
  • Associated instrument: EnSure Touch luminometer
  • Target microorganism: Escherichia coli

Directions for use

  • The test is performed with the EnSure Touch luminometer, which measures the amount of light produced
  • Allows on-site testing, reducing external laboratory analysis costs
