IODINE "T" solution, skin disinfectant (1 liter, ready to use).

Disinfectant and antiseptic for human hygiene. Contains iodine and is recommended for: antisepsis of small superficial wounds or burns, local treatment of infected skin or mucosal conditions or those at risk of infection, and antisepsis of the skin at the surgical site.

Used undiluted - for skin dressings, for 1 minute - or diluted - washing superficial wounds, 1/10 dilution with water or saline solution; irrigation of superficial wounds - 2 % solution with water or saline solution.

Therapeutic action:

IONINE T cutaneous solution is a broad-spectrum antiseptic agent, acting against bacteria, viruses, fungi and protozoa (single-celled organisms).

Indications:

IODINE T cutaneous solution is used for:
- skin disinfection before injections, transfusions, infusions, blood sampling, punctures, biopsies
- preoperative disinfection of skin and mucous membranes (partial or total - preoperative baths)
- asepsis of wounds, including skin burns
- adjuvant in bacterial and fungal skin infections
- ophthalmic procedures, preoperatively as diluted IONINE T solution

Administration and dosage:

IODINE T cutaneous solution is applied either undiluted or diluted.
IODINE T cutaneous solution must not be diluted with hot water, but with water at body temperature
The solution is not intended for oral administration.
For preoperative skin disinfection, the solution should not be allowed to run outside the surgical field, as there is a risk of skin irritation

Dosage:

Application of undiluted IODINE T cutaneous solution for disinfection of intact skin before injections, transfusions, infusions, blood sampling, punctures, biopsies, as well as for disinfection of wounds or burns: the cutaneous solution can be used several times a day
IODINE T is used for hand disinfection as follows:
- routine hand disinfection - 2 x 3 ml undiluted solution left in contact for 30 seconds
- preoperative hand disinfection - 2 x 5 ml undiluted solution left in contact for 5 minutes
For skin disinfection, the undiluted solution is used and left in contact until dry
If an isotonic solution is required, dilution is made with saline solution.
