The U375 intrauterine device is a U-shaped intrauterine contraceptive device.

Instructions for use:

Insertion:

Step 1: Open the package. Place your thumb on the top of the device at the ends of the horizontal arms. Push the insertion tube in the direction opposite the T arms to fold the arms. Complete the folding by bringing your thumb and index finger together, using the other hand to maneuver the insertion tube and grip the arms of the T.

Step 2: Adjust the movable flange until it indicates the depth to which the T Cu 380 A device should be inserted, in the direction in which the arms of the T will open. At this point, make sure that the horizontal arms of the T and the long axis of the flange are in the same horizontal plane. Do not force insertion.

Step 3: Hold the string still and withdraw the insertion tube. Once the arms are released, the insertion tube should be able to be moved gently upward until it reaches the highest possible position in the uterine cavity, ensuring proper insertion of the IUD.

Step 4: Withdraw the string while holding the insertion tube still.

Step 5: Withdraw the insertion tube. Leave a string length of 1 to 1.5 cm and cut off the rest of the string that is not needed. It is recommended that the device be replaced 5 years, or at most 8 years, after the date of insertion.
