The Bionova BT20 biological indicator is designed for precise monitoring of steam sterilization processes in autoclaves. The product contains Geobacillus stearothermophilus spores and is used to validate the efficacy of sterilization cycles in central sterile departments, dental practices and medical laboratories.

Directions for Use

• Placement in the cycle: Place the vial in the autoclave according to the sterilization protocol
• Activation: After the cycle is complete, squeeze the vial manually to break the internal glass ampoule
• Incubation: Keep at 60±2°C for a maximum of 24 hours
• Control: Including an unprocessed indicator daily is recommended
• Disposal of positives: Indicators showing bacterial growth must be neutralized by incineration or autoclaving at 121°C/30 minutes or 134°C/30 minutes

• Do not use after the expiration date printed on the vial
• Positive indicators must be handled as biological waste in accordance with applicable regulations
• Store under the specified conditions; avoid exposure to direct light and chemical contaminants
