The Class 5 chemical integrator indicator is a device used to monitor steam sterilization processes in professional settings such as laboratories, hospitals or medical facilities. This type of indicator provides accurate verification of exposure to the critical parameters of time, temperature and steam quality, in accordance with validated sterilization standards. Each strip is laminated, self-adhesive and printed with indicator ink sensitive to sterilization conditions.

The strips are designed to integrate all parameters of the steam sterilization cycle, providing a complete assessment of cycle effectiveness. They can be used for routine monitoring of pre-vacuum cycles at different temperatures:

• 121°C - duration 18.6 minutes;
• 128°C - duration 9.2 minutes;
• 135°C - duration 3.6 minutes.

The indicator color changes depending on exposure, providing a clear visual interpretation of the results:

• Invalid result - only one square changes color from pink to black;
• Safety result - two squares change color from pink to black;
• Optimal result - all three squares change color from pink to black.

Each strip measures 2.50 mm x 6.50 mm and is printed with highly sensitive indicator ink. The initial color is pink, and the final color, after a complete and valid sterilization cycle, is dark brown or black. These features allow a quick and reliable assessment of the parameters reached during the process.

The strips can be placed inside each sterilization pack or pouch, together with consumables or medical instruments, to verify the uniformity of steam exposure. The indicators are intended for external use, exclusively in steam sterilization processes, and are not compatible with other sterilization methods such as EO (ethylene oxide), H₂O₂ (hydrogen peroxide) or dry heat.

Environmental conditions during manufacturing are carefully controlled: temperature between 15°C and 30°C, relative humidity between 10% and 40%. For storage, a range of 4°C to 30°C with RH 10-40%, away from direct light, is recommended. Observing these conditions maintains the accuracy and color stability of the indicators.

The package contains 250 strips and is fully labeled with: product code, full description, process of use, application instructions, regulatory classification, lot number and expiration date. The product's shelf life is 5 years under proper storage conditions.

Transport must be carried out in closed, reinforced boxes, avoiding deformation or damage to the strips. Storage conditions must also be observed during transport. The product poses no health risk during handling.

Before use, it is recommended to read the instructions on the package in full to ensure correct application. Do not store the product near sterilizing agents and do not reuse the indicators after they have been exposed to a complete cycle.
