Scalpel blades and handles

PRIMA blades are sterile, made of carbon steel, individually packed in aluminum foil, 100 per box, and are chosen by number: 10, 11, 12, 15, 15C, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25. According to the product sheet, blades 10, 11, 12 and 15 fit the no. 3 handle, and blades 20–24 the no. 4 handle. Stainless steel handles, no. 3 (for blades 10–17) and no. 4 (for blades 18–24), are under needles, thread and surgical instruments.

Kirschner wires for orthopedics

Kirschner wires (K-wires) are stainless steel, 310 mm long, with a sharp trocar point at one end, and are sold 10 per pack. They come in 1.0, 1.2, 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8 mm, as options of the same product, plus 2, 2.5 and 3 mm, as separate products.

Biopsy and consultation

The biopsy punch is sterile, stainless steel, in diameters from 1 to 8 mm, and is sold individually.
The laparoscopic trocar needle, 14G (2.1 × 80 mm), is sterile and single-use.
Tuberculin syringes of 1 ml have a detachable 25G needle (0.5 × 16 mm) and are ethylene oxide sterilized.
The digital rectal thermometer has a beep, memory and a °C or °F display; the product sheet gives a 6-second measuring time.

Trays, needles and the dissection kit

Reusable stainless steel trays measure 325 × 230 × 28, 370 × 230 × 32, 425 × 330 × 35 and 478 × 378 × 35 mm, while single-use cardboard kidney dishes hold 700 ml and come 300 per pack. GRF veterinary surgical needles have a taper point, a 1/2 circle curve, two eyes and a length of 16 mm. The PRIMA dissection kit has 9 stainless steel instruments: two one-piece scalpels, a probe with a button tip, a grooved director, surgical forceps, anatomical forceps, a Mayo-Hegar needle holder and two pairs of scissors, one straight and one curved. Sutures are under surgical sutures.

Which scalpel blades fit the no. 3 handle?

According to the product sheet, blades 10, 11, 12 and 15; blades 20–24 fit the no. 4 handle. PRIMA blades are sterile, individually packed, 100 per box.
