Forceps and scissors

Hemostatic forceps: Halstead Mosquito, 12 cm, straight or curved, straight Kocher, 14 or 16 cm, and straight Pean, 18.5 cm, with a ratchet on the handle.
Adson forceps, 15.5 cm, autoclavable, and non-sterile sharp-tipped plastic tweezers, 13 cm.
Iris scissors, 12 cm, and Castroviejo scissors, 14 cm, straight or curved, for fine tissue, 9.5 cm Littauer scissors with a notch for removing sutures, 14 cm straight surgical scissors with one blunt tip and 14.5 cm scissors with curved blades and blunt tips.

Scalpel, bone and exposure

Stainless steel scalpel handles, autoclavable, are sold 10 per pack: no. 3, 12.5 cm, for blades 10–17, and no. 4, 13.5 cm, for blades 18–24. For bone there are Blumenthal and Friedman rongeurs, both 14 cm, and a 12 cm Williger curette. The surgical field is opened with the 14 cm self-retaining retractor, the 22 cm Langenbeck retractor, the 4-prong hook retractor or, for the eye, the 7 cm Williams eyelid speculum; the grooved director is 14 cm.

Tourniquets, skin closure and meshes

There are three tourniquets: a fabric one with a quick-release buckle, 2.5 × 40 cm, a latex-free synthetic rubber one, 50 cm, and a small 10 cm one with an elastic cord, designed for small diameters. The skin stapler is sterile and single-use, with 35 metal staples, and the sterile surgical skin marker comes with a ruler. Sterile polypropylene meshes measure 6 × 11, 7.6 × 15, 15 × 15 and 30 × 30 cm. Sutures are under absorbable sutures and non-absorbable sutures.
