Product details

The STEAM chemical indicator (class 5) - double strip, size 140x20 mm, 250 pcs/box, is used in the sterilization process.

Sterilization temperature 121°C - 134°C.

The blue color changes to light gray - dark gray - black as follows:

The first indicator, “PROCESS,” must always turn black when subjected to a sterilization cycle. • 135°C for 3.5 minutes - the color changes from blue to light gray. Insufficient exposure time!

• 135°C for 7 minutes/121°C for 20 minutes - the color changes from blue - indicator no. 2 “CORRECT” to black - indicator no. 3 “EXTENDED” to dark gray.

• 135°C for 10 min - the color changes from blue to black for all 3 indicators. According to the ISO 11140-1 standard, the indicators are designed to work in an autoclave sterilization cycle under the following conditions: 135°C for 7 minutes or 121°C for 20 minutes. The chemical indicator must be used at the temperature indicated on the card.
